I always wanted a summer record, something fun and to drive to. When I got the opportunity to make a record with Niko Is, I knew this was the chance to do that.

It was recorded for fun but honestly written for the hardest workers in the room - to blast through the haters and obstacles that are in your way while you’re riding on the road to success.

Windshield evolved beyond just a song. With all the artwork, we kept being asked to make an 8-bit version. We’re a little insane so we took it a step further and made a game….

We shot the music video before we had the master final version of the song back so we had some time to plan the artwork.

We noticed a lot of artists would spam the same artwork/post over and over online. We wanted to keep attention on the record but be fun - not annoying.

We decided to use the artwork concept as the anchor and make variants - taking inspiration from comic books and Into the Spider-Verse movie where different versions of Spider-Man teamed up together.

These were insane and so much fun to do.

During the studio session with Niko Is, he suggested we parody the meeting scene from Cheech & Chong’s ‘Up In Smoke’ movie.

I could see my team’s eyes light up and gears start turning. It was classic, simple to pull off, nostalgic, and we had the exact same make and model car from the movie.

That was it. Plus one scene paying homage to How High.

Surprisingly, it got to Chong and he enjoyed it.

We got numerous requests from fans to release something they could wear.

Instead of putting the song artwork on a shirt, we got something special designed.
